Escaping My Open Prison

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school." - Albert Einstein
School always felt like an open prison to me, a place where I was forced to conform, to fit into a mould that simply didn't suit me. I failed to thrive, suffocating, struggled to meet expectations, and felt increasingly disconnected from my true self.
But there was one place where I could escape that sense of confinement: in front of a scrap piece of paper. The canvas didn't demand conformity; it didn't judge my academic failures; it simply offered me a space to be myself, to express myself without limitations.
As Sir Ken Robinson argues, schools often stifle creativity and individuality. It's up to us to find our own paths, to cultivate our unique talents, and to break free from the constraints of conventional education.
